本機は、文字通りかさ歯車（ベベルギヤ）を作る機械である。1874年に最初に開発したアメリカのグリーソンかさ歯車歯切り盤がよく知られるが、その一方を成したドイツのライネッカー社製である。刃物が一往復するごとに一歯ずつ割り出す方式で歯切りがされる。銘板に1940年納期とある。
